Established in 1873, Mt. Zion Cemetery & Mausoleum in Pottstown, Pennsylvania is located between Rt. 724 and Rt. 422, at the intersection of Hanover Street and Rt. 724. It is the third oldest cemetery in Pottstown and one of the most beautiful, with two-century-old trees, blooming flowers, and impressive statue features, and a prominent mausoleum visible from almost anywhere on the grounds.
Mt. Zion Cemetery & Mausoleum is one of the only cemeteries in the area that still allows upright memorials (headstones), as well as slanted memorials and bronze markers. It also offers private burial estates and private and community mausoleums, as well as spaces for traditional burials, cremation, lawn crypts, a place of honor for Veterans, and a specially designated area for burial of beloved pets.
