About Our Cemetery:
Newport Memorial Park in Middletown, Rhode Island is located in the peaceful countryside and yet is only five minutes from Norman Bird Sanctuary and 15 minutes from the beaches and downtown Newtown. There is a small pond and stream, which flows through the beginning of the park and under a small bridge that you have to cross to get to the main cemetery. The cemetery has 18 sections, some with lovely gardens, and there are several sections that are dedicated to the veterans. Some have a wonderful view of the bay, which looks out from the top of the grassy hill.
Newport offers cremation, traditional and lawn crypts burials, as well as a community mausoleum with indoor and outdoor crypts and niches.
